Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the MICU.
This role requires the ability to care for adult and geriatric
patients. Common patient diagnoses include oncologic emergencies,
COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, gastrointestinal bleed, and more. The nurse
will be responsible for common treatments such as mechanical
ventilation and administration of chemotherapy. Required procedures
include pulmonary artery catheter placement and CRRT management.
Additional responsibilities involve managing complex medication
regimens and conducting clinical trials. Collaboration with
interdisciplinary teams is essential for effective patient care.
This position includes high patient ratios, with an expectation of
managing two patients per nurse on night shifts. Flexibility for
day and night shift assignments will be necessary. Candidates must
demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to manage
patients with multisystem organ failure. The nursing team will work
with various support services including respiratory and social
services. Compliance with all credentialing processes and urgent
timelines is essential. Two professional references are required,
preferably from a managerial or supervisory capacity. This position
