Tenure-Track Faculty in the College of Social Work with a focus on Substance Use and Misuse Research The Ohio State University College of Social Work invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position (open rank) beginning August 2019. Ohio State, through its Discovery Theme Initiative, is currently investing in transdisciplinary, innovative, collaborative and impactful faculty. Consistent with this institutional spirit of discovery, the college recently significantly invested in research infrastructure and is committed to advancing science aimed at solving major global challenges. We are recruiting exceptional candidates from social work and related disciplines, and our preference is for candidates with demonstrated strong research and scholarship capacity with diverse populations. In addition to research and scholarship, we seek candidates committed to excellence in teaching and student mentorship, particularly diverse student populations. The college offers a host of innovative teaching options at the undergraduate, MSW and PhD level, including traditional and online formats. Candidates' scholarship should focus on substance use and misuse issues, which cut across the continuum from prevention to recovery in myriad disciplines. Successful junior candidates will have a well-defined research agenda and evidence of scholarship; senior faculty candidates will have an externally-funded research program and demonstrate excellence in research, teaching and mentorship.
