Job DescriptionPosition ConceptResponsible for maintaining good
housekeeping in the cafeteria and other identified places. In
addition, assists in the serving of food. Demonstrates on-going
commitment to excellence and the safety of students during summer
camp participation. Essential Functions
- Demonstrates and abides by Eckerd Connects Core Values and
operating principles.
- Assists in serving food.
- Cleans and maintains cafeteria and kitchen area.
- Assists in moving and storing supplies.
- Works within established safety guidelines.
- Attends required staff training sessions.
- Maintains accountability of students, and property, adheres to
safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Cultivates and maintains a climate on center that is free of
harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place
for staff and students to work and learn.
- Responsible for monitoring the hallways, restrooms, and
entrances of the site to assure it is secure at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Other Duties Include, But
Not Limited To
- Participate in training and development activities as
required.
- Report any acts, incidents or conditions that reflect the
possibility of inappropriate youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth
relationships.
- Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per
Eckerd policy and state guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Position
SpecificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent
required. Experience: Three months of experience in food service
required.Skills: Ability to fluently read and write English.
Well-developed habits of personal cleanliness and hygiene. Must
meet state or local food handling requirements, whichever are more
restrictive. Must maintain CPR/First Aid certification. Ability to
effectively relate to student population. In addition, individual
must be able to interact with team members and maintain an
effective working relationship with all facility staff and
departments.Other: Must meet state criminal background check
requirements.Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands: Must be able to
stand/walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50
pounds. Ability to frequently reach above head/shoulders, bend and
twist at waist, stoop, squat, and kneel. Ability to work in high
temperature settings during the summer months. Must be free of
communicable diseases as defined by the appropriate state and to
the extent that knowledge is attainable under federal law. *This
