External DescriptionThe Dining Room Server is responsible for the courteous and efficient table service in the resident dining room.Other duties also include:Set tables and maintains workstations in proper order.Takes orders and provides service in a courteous and efficient manner.Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.Answers pertinent questions about menu items.Works evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.Qualifications include:Clean backgroundExperience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred, but not necessary.Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, communicate effectivelyAbility to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service, process and understand requests.Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.
