  • Volunteer OpportunitiesResponsibilities:
    • Based on the patient dietary requirements prepares and cooks meals.
    • Delivers food trays to patients in every location at agreed upon scheduled times.
    • Audits refrigerators in care areas against par sheets and restocks necessary items as needed.
    • Based on the catered meals requested, assists, prepares, and cooks meals that meet the requirements of the catering order requested.
    • Responsible for transactions for CafĂ©.
    • Washing and maintaining all work areas, equipment and dishes or utensils used to follow all regulatory guidelines.
    • Responsible for monitoring temperature logs to insure food safety regulations are met.
    • Assists with receiving stock, stocking all areas.
    • Assist in other activities and departments when requested.
    • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities to support the quality of Ohio's Hospice services.
    • Precept new staff to support professional relationships with newly hired team members as required.Qualifications:
      • General education degree (GED) or High school diploma preferred.
      • Related experience and/or training in preparing and cooking food.
      • Active ServSafe certification preferred
      • Computer skills sufficient to properly communicate and document daily tasks.
      • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
      • Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
      • State Minimum Automobile Insurance CoverageThis is a full-time position serving our Hospice of Butler Warren facility. This position is for a lead cook working the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm.As a member of our team, you will have a chance to impact many lives.
