Human Resources Assistant - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I)Columbus, OH - Remote3-6 month contract with likely extension and/or conversion1-3+ years of experience Summary:Our strategy is centered on talent optimization, skills development, customer and community engagement, supplier diversity, and accountability metrics. The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Assistant is focused on providing administrative support for the company's diversity, equity and inclusion team, which is part of the enterprise Human Resources function. We support over 60 Regional Business Resource Group (BRG) chapters, 10 BRGs, 8 Inclusion Councils (ICs) and 4 Communities of Practice (CoP) supporting 20,000 colleagues in our support our Category of One journey and Welcome to All, Always.Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support for inclusion-related events and activities (incl. Business Resources Group (BRG) and Inclusion Council (IC) leadership member on-boarding and updates, Communities of Practice (CoP) support, monthly BRG/Inclusion Council (IC)- events, administrative tasks associated with the start ups of new BRGs, new ICs, new regional chapters, BRG, IC, or CoP name changes (coordinating with HR systems for Workday changes, Internal Comms, Total Rewards)
  • Documents processes and procedures for BRG and IC-related governance and ensures that all other DEI processes are documented and updated. (ex. Templates, checklists and process maps for all of our approval flows for BRGs and ICs) and posted to BRG/IC Leaders Teams Channel and DEI Sharepoint)
  • Manages DEI content (additions, deletions, updates) on DEI sharepoint
  • Manages access to the Leadership site on the DEI Sharepoint for BRGs, ICs, CoPs Leadership (supporting 10 BRGs, 8 ICs, 4 CoPs+ approx. 60+ Regional BRG Chapters)
  • Supports tasks and assists with project management associated with signature initiatives such as the DEI Awards, Week of Cultural Celebration, Classic for Columbus, Regional DEI forums) including working with external suppliers to order trophies/awards and send to nominees and winners of DEI Awards and order SWAG for external events
  • Assists in monitoring the Inclusion mailbox and ensures timely replies to BRGs, ICs, and CoPs (review of materials including invitations to BRG events, presentations, member survey questions, BRG/IC Newsletters, video scripts)
  • Assists department personnel with preparing/updating DEI presentations
  • Assists regional ambassadors and BRGs in planning WCC multi-cultural events
  • Updates DEI deck/presentation materials as BRGs and ICs and CoPs are updated
  • Assists with the completes DEI benchmark surveys (generally 1Q) and DEI narratives in support external correspondence (awards, and EEO RFP requests)
  • Curates DEI content for diversity Heritage months from both internal and external sites (ex. Diversity websites, Pathways, and/or other resources)
  • Actively posts DEI content to the Social Equity Yammer and other DEI-related Yammer communities
  • Assists with DEI tracking and reporting metrics and measures
  • Participates in local BRG, IC and CoP activities
  • Coordinates the creation of a DEI newsletter (Not currently active)Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma required
    • Must be organized and possess a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail
    • Must possess advanced experience with PowerPoint and compiling presentations
    • Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, act with a sense of urgency and be able to prioritize multiple assignments and duties
    • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to engage effectively with a broad array of business leaders, customers, community leaders and stakeholders
    • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality, maturity, judgment and possess a positive and warm demeanor
    • Advanced skills with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
    • Ability to deliver results in a high performing, matrixed environmentPreferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree
      • A minimum of 3 years of administrative assistant experience
      • Previous diversity/inclusion implementation experience
      • Strong analytical and measurement skills
