Job Description:
The HR Business Partner (HR Manager) will serve in a high level
strategic and critical thinking role in support of HR decisions
centered around talentperformancesuccessionemployee conflict and
strategic planning. HRBP will partner with the Regional HR Manager
and the location's Management Team to conceivedesignand implement
solutions to advance the capabilities of employees across all
levels and will be leading efforts such as performance
managementsuccession planningcultural engagement surveys and
leadership development. The HR Business Partner assesses and
anticipates Talent needsconducts effectivethorough and objective
investigationsand offers consultative coaching and mentoring. This
position will drive change and will create an environment centered
around Worthington's Philosophy and People First culture. The ideal
candidate is an organizedstrategicanalyticalproblem-solver with the
ability to prioritize tasks to ensure that daily HR operations are
running effectively and efficiently. **This role will be in our
WestervilleOH facility and will be on-site/in office. Seeking prior
experience working within a manufacturing/ distribution or similar

Responsibilities
- Conducts strategic planning on HR issues.
- Overall responsibility for department planningmanagementand
reporting processes.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work
relationshipsbuild moraleincrease productivity and retention.
- Oversees and makes recommendations on employee
recruitmenthiringterminationstransferstraining and promotions.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to first &
mid-level managers (coachingcounselingcareer
developmentdisciplinary actions).
- Responsible for development and maintenance of compensation
administration and other benefit programs.
- Responsible for company HR policiescommunicationsand employee
relations.
- Helps develop and conduct new hire orientation program.
- Has oversight responsibility for company training and safety
programs.
- Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing
- Acts as consultant to management on matters of legal or
regulatory compliance for HRsafety or training matters.
- Acts as the lead representative for all workers compensation
claims that involve legal hearings or settlements.
- Acts as the company's point of contact for community affairs
activities.
- Conducts sensitive investigations (e.g. EEOCand harassment) and
makes independent recommendations for resolution of issues. Desired
Experience
- Seeking 3-5 plus years of related experience with strong
leadership skills
- Solid solutions focus and comfortable working in an environment
which requires multiple deliverables along with the ability to
identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
- Strong internal and external customer service focus
- Ability to work in a team-based organization.
- Good understanding of our business goals and objectives with
the ability to make sound decisions based on business
conditions.
- Ability to support a 24/7 environment. Must be willing to work
a flexible schedule.
- Have thorough understanding of federal and state labor
laws
- Proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills - ExcelWordE-mail and
Oracle
- Detail oriented
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent listening and verbalwritten and interpersonal
skills.
- Must be able to interact with all levels of the
organization.
- Prefer PHR or SPHR certification.
- Experience in a manufacturing or similar setting
