Position SummaryAs a Database Administrator at HBD Industries, Inc., you help create solutions that make our systems work more efficiently and effectively. You're the expert at creating highly-available databases and planning for scale as we continue to grow. You work with everyone from the technical side to the operations side with endless opportunities to take on responsibility and continue learning.Our Technology Azure SQL-Server, AS400, Great Plains, Job Boss, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Flow, DB2.About You

• Support multiple business units as part of a cross-functional team, contributing to:
• Datawarehouse creation and implementation
• Database Tooling (creation, deployments, monitoring, automation)
• Schema alterations
• Capacity planning
• Performance analysis
• Query optimization
• Power BI Optimization
• Partner with business leads during the design phases of projects to ensure effective utilization of our databases and sharing of your expertise.
• Monitor the performance of database operations and proactively recommend solutions.
• Maintain our security standards by implementing backup and disaster recovery requirements.
• Implement and improve scripts that facilitate ETL processes.
• Document everything important you do for our data.Technical Skills
  • 3+ years of experience working with relational databases, experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is a plus.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft tools: Power BI, Flow, data lake, data movement tools.
  • Ability to quickly understand data/field values & how they relate to other data.
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining a data warehouse.
  • Proven experience defining & tracking refresh schedules.
  • Proven experience monitoring for potential issues and proactively recommending solutions.
  • Ability to investigate existing solutions & resolve issues.Non-technical skills that really set our DBAs up for success
    • Adaptable to changing priorities and understanding diverse stakeholders' database needs.
    • Experience working closely with business leads to gather requirements, design, and implement changes.
    • Desire to empathetically share and receive feedback and knowledge to help everyone keep improving.
    • Thrive at working closely with a team to find solutions collaboratively.
    • Able to effectively explain your choices during problem-solving.
