ELPC is committed to work-life flexibility and offer a hybrid work environment with a split between remote and in-office days.FLSA STATUS: FULL TIME, EXEMPTPOSITION SUMMARYThe Public Interest Environmental Attorney position combines litigation with legal advocacy in support of ELPC's mission to drive transformational policy changes with regional and national impacts. This is a great opportunity for a leadership role -in the Ohio and Midwest regional environmental community. - The incumbent will be a critical part of ELPC's public interest entrepreneurial and multidisciplinary team culture and help support fundraising for ELPC's program activities and expand program success. -KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key litigation role advancing ELPC's innovative and successful environmental program activities,Strong focus on clean energy issues before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio as well as clean water issues before the federal courts -Play leadership role in the local and state environmental community by identifying key allies and fostering support for ELPC's initiativesParticipate in fundraising calls in support of ELPC's program activities and to expand program areas and access.Work as an integral part of ELPC's public interest, entrepreneurial and multidisciplinary team. -:
Juris Doctor degree 5+ years experience in public interest litigation and advocacy strongly preferredCandidates with DOJ or State Attorney General's office are encouraged to applyCandidates with a law firm background of hands-on trial and appellate litigation experience and a keen interest in legal advocacy as evidenced through volunteer work may also be considered. -KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
