What You’ll Do

Processes deductions, earnings, and payroll tax transactions following established pay policies and procedures. Responsivities include administrating, preparing, and reviewing payroll control/audit files, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with boundary partners and COE’s in identifying, defining, recommending, and implementing process and system changes. The role provides support, guidance, and technical expertise to different partners. This role also takes on special projects to ensure best practices are followed and can see the project through to completion

  • Assist in the development of payroll services including process design, internal team development, vendor management and system enhancements to ensure optimal performance in the delivery of payroll services
  • Oversee payroll operations, including ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing such as taxes, garnishments, benefit deductions, health and welfare contributions, payroll accounting
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and policies regarding payments of wages, tax withholding, garnishments, and employee elected deductions
  • Stay up to date with rules, regulations and any guidelines related to payroll and tax legislation
  • Accountable for maintaining controls and compliance of the overall payroll process
  • Assist in the develop continuous strategic process improvements to maintain the accuracy, quality, efficiency and overall effectiveness of the payroll process, and decrease risk of errors
  • Assist in the deployment of new tools, systems, processes to enhance the quality, efficiency and delivery of payroll processes
  • Set-up and manage taxation and related withholdings and remittances
  • Complete all post payroll processes to ensure the timely and accurate completion of the payroll cycle
  • Serves as a fully trained back-up to both Payroll manager
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in processing employee payments and employee status changes
  • Provide timely and accurate payroll processing for payroll processes
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of tax and compensation reporting requirements to maintain compliance with the law
  • Initiate and implement process improvements to ensure process efficiencies
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company payroll and employment related policies


What You’ll Need

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Experience with ADP platforms required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skill related to interacting with users and professionally resolving issues.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Sr. Specialist
  • Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
  • International payroll experience a plus
  • Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years’ experience in payroll processing
  • Experience with Kronos, Success factors, ADP
