Learn more about the many benefits of PET bottles here.-- - *with existing technologies including chemical recycling About the Role Maintain inventory of raw/packaging materials and finished goods and manage the warehouse function, establishing work procedures for efficient warehouse operations in the areas of space management, shipping/receiving to meet customer orders. Leads and participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives. Requires a general understanding of the overall Blow mold processes and the ability to understand and follow basic good manufacturing practices and guidelines. Accountabilities and Responsibilities:-- - Utilize relevant computer applications including but not limited to SAP, MII, and Excel as well as the ability to understand multiple linked computer programs and how transactions affect each system. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be able to obtain and keep forklift certification and forklift training capabilities. Operates forklift to move production around the warehouse and for loading/unloading shipments on and off truck. Enters receipt of raw materials and packaging supplies in the plant via SAP, properly documents and stores materials for use, and maintains raw material storage area in an orderly fashion. As required by Amcor standards, cycle count all inventory in the warehouse(s) including raw materials (weighing additives, estimating fullness of rail car/hoppers, etc.), finished materials, and packaging supplies. Verify quantities by location for all finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials. Audit electronic transactions in inventory control locator system. Maintain accurate inventory documentation (written and/or electronically recorded). Reconcile and identify source(s) of discrepancies found in inventory and report them to the Materials Manager. Reconcile material usage variances and consumption transactions. Assure inventory reporting compliance for SOX requirements. Change status of products as necessary. Identify and communicate all potential problems areas (e.g., labeling, packaging, storage, and discrepancies) to the Materials Manager. Provides input, solutions and options on improving productivity/efficiencies and product quality relating to shipping and receiving activities. Ensures warehouse is organized properly and efficiently for easy access, establishes priorities for the warehouse team, and works closely with the shift supervisors to ensure the effective utilization of available resources.-- --- - Maintains building security by controlling the activities of delivery or pick-up drivers. Ensures truck drivers are signed in and out of FMS at appropriate times. Maintain good housekeeping standards and assign responsibilities for housekeeping including outside dock area and trash compactor. Lift/push/pull up to 1000 pounds 50 feet using a hydraulic hand jack (this is the equivalent of a static push/pull of approximately 70 pounds). Coworkers may be required to occasionally stand and/or walk up to 11 hours on a concrete floor. Coworkers are required to; bend, turn/twist; kneel; squat; crawl; climb; reach out and up; turn wrist; grasp; pinch; and have finger manipulations.
