School Based Counselor Job Description:With the increase in Behavioral Health support needs within schools, Maryhaven is partnering with local school districts to hire counselors and focus on school supports and counseling for students. The School Counselor will complete multiple screening tools to assess for most appropriate level of care. Identify any barriers for the student and families attending ongoing counseling. The School Counselor will work with student and families to connect them to identified needed services if desired. The School Counselor will provide consultation to school staff, facilitate groups, and provide crisis assessments as needed. School Based Counselor Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in human service or behavioral science
• LPC, LSW RequiredSchool Based Benefits:
