*Mechanical Engineer*
The position is a *Project Management* focused role based in Columbus, OH and reports directly to the VP of Engineering. Lead engineering projects at new and existing facilities throughout the U.S.
In the first 90 days you will:

* Execute projects to set-up new facilities throughout the US including; site selection, equipment procurement, installation, and start-up.
* Lead process design sessions to identify special projects required to improve process stability and decrease plant interaction
* Manage the execution of minor and major capital projects, which includes design, part selection, vendor and contractor management, commissioning, and verification analysis
* Lead cross-functional teams including internal and external resources to successfully start-up and commission projects
* Preparing presentations to keep other teams and clients informed of plant progress

Over time, build competencies to:

* Support continuous improvement in process design and currently operating facilities
* Develop a full understanding of the total process, including flow and conditions at each stage of the process.
* Investigate and specify specific equipment or components to improve facility performance
* Understand and consider equipment maintenance requirements in the specification and design of new equipment
* Participate in root cause investigations of equipment failures and drive solutions to eliminate recurrence of failures
* Lead hazard and reliability analysis sessions


* Bachelor's degree in mechanical or other related engineering fields from an accredited program.

* 3 to 5 years experience in industrial processes as described above.

* Experience leading small to mid-sized technical capital projects.

* Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential

* Interest and desire to routinely work in the office, field and from home

* Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.
