Statement of Purpose: As an Azure Cloud Security Engineer, you will have your hands in all aspects IT Security from our Azure hosted infrastructure to supporting our restaurants. You will help guide the training, tooling, guidance, detection, and assessment programs across the organization. You will take the lead on all audits, incidents, hunts, and implementation to shape and mold BER IT into a secure Azure cloud infrastructure. Accountabilities

• Own and drive our annual PCI compliance, audit, and gap remediation.
• Implement and improve our Microsoft 365 Defender and Sentinel SIEM solution with cost efficiency and functional protection and detection functionality.
• Partner with peer IT teams as they develop new features and respond to security needs. Your deep well of technical expertise will help them architect solutions that are resilient to today's attacks and tomorrow's.
• Attack and Defend - You will lead in-depth architecture, code, and application reviews to hunt vulnerabilities that slip by the bounty hunters and external security consultants we work with. You will work with each team to address the issue quickly and thoroughly.
  Knowledge
  • Experience with IT and cybersecurity architecture across the systems development lifecycle in cloud security engineering, requirements development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS delivery models - key technologies include Azure, Office365, AWS, Google Cloud, container services, and CASB solutions.Experience with Security Engineering and Assurance methodologies
  • Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrable teamwork skills and resourcefulness
  • Possess self-drive to keep moving things forward even in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge (avoid "analysis paralysis")
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
    Education/Experience
    • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
    • MS Defender 365, Endpoint Security, Sentinel, DLP, and Purview expertise.
    • Azure Security, CISSP, CCSP, SSCP certification path/progress
    • 4+ years of experience in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans
    • 2+ years of experience in security architecture; design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security-focused tools and services
    • 2+ years of threat modeling or other risk identification techniques
