Job Description:

Position Summary: The Community Liaison plays a critical role in the organization by supporting, monitoring, and reporting back about our Tinkergarten Teacher community, all in order to maximize both teacher user engagement and organizational learning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Regularly monitor posts and conversations in our private Facebook group, reinforcing the values, norms, and behaviors we believe lead to an effective, mission focused Tinkergarten Teacher community.
  • Respond to conversations, escalating to teammates as necessary.
  • Test and suggest innovative prompts and program ideas to drive community engagement and output.
  • Manage the welcoming of new members and membership list as our community evolves.
  • Provide insight and feedback to other TG teammates to help inform product and community development. What you should show up ready to teach anyone on your first day: How to model the kind of community engagement you hope to see from all members. Within your first month, you'll: Measure and propose 1-2 new ways to increase engagement in the Facebook Group. Within your first year, you'll: Drive a 10% increase in member engagement (exact KPI TBD) Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education and Experience: 3 or more years in community organization, support, or management. Experience in early learning, homeschooling, teaching or play-based learning is helpful. Qualifications: Social media experience, excellent communication skills, and alignment with our Tinkergarten core values and approach to including all people in our work. Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
