Job Description:

The Olentangy Motor Inn and Crimson Cup Coffee is looking for an experience Front Desk Supervisor.Salary- $18.00/hour plus tipsFull time team members are able to elect from our full benefit package, which includes:

    • Complete month end food and beverage inventories for corporate office
    • Regularly analyzes menu pricing to maintain appropriate food and beverage costs
    • Develop cost sheets for each item on the menu
    • Responsible for all areas of the food & beverage operations
    • Demonstrate fundamental food and beverage knowledge
    • Ensure kitchen, restaurant, bar operations are opened and closed according to policy
    • Responsible to assist in menu planning, development, and drink specials
    • Ensure all kitchens and eating areas are organized and maintain a high level of cleanliness
    • Adhere to guidelines for proper and safe food and beverage service (Serve Safe)
    • Ensure waste is minimized and properly recorded
    • Responsible for report generation on a per needs, monthly and fiscal basis Key areas of Operations
      • Count your cash, draw and follow hotel cash handling procedures.
      • Covering shifts when Barista's, Night Audit or housekeepers call off, request off or No-Show for shift;
      • Check the fax machine for any faxes that have come in;
      • Check resume packet from sales and become familiar with the group in house;
      • Reviewing the Guest Survey/Trip Advisor report on a daily basis and familiar with our current scores and respond as needed
      • Train Brista Agents on front desk operations by role playing with the front desk team covering reservations, customer service and shop calls;
      • Open and close the housekeeping department as needed, prepare room assignment reports for room attendants and assign houseman their daily duties.
      • Collect all room assignment reports and keys at the end of the day. Make sure all floors are secure.
      • Stay in constant communication with the Maintenance department to ensure all problems are corrected.
      • Make sure all standards are enforced in rooms and public areas for safety.
      • Check rooms daily to ensure all standards are achieved.
      • Help supervise the re-supplying of all linen closets.
      • Record all lost and found items.
      • Report to supervisor all maintenance equipment issues.
      • Report to supervisor any health, safety, or hazard issues.
      • Other Duties and Responsibilities as may be designated Other Duties and Responsibilities:
        • The hotel is a 24-hour, 365-day open establishment. Flexible hours including weekends and holidays are required
        • Handle all interactions with hotel/coffee shop employees and/or guests in a friendly, professional, service oriented manner
        • Must comply with hotel/coffee shop and brand standard to ensure the safety off all guests and employees.
        • Overall management of all employees on shift
        • Ensure all staff has the proper tools to complete their duties.
        • Must comply with hotel and brand standards;
        • Must follow all policies and emergency procedures of the hotel to ensure safety of guests and associates;
        • Report to manager any health, safety, or hazard issues;
        • Responsible for making sure that the shift check list is completed;
        • Be able to cover any shift 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift (night audit);
        • Communicating to prior shift any information needed and also writing information in pass on log
        • Coach, motivate, develop, and counsel colleagues to achieve service standards
        • Work shifts as needed to support team and financial goals
        • Ensure staff report to work in the appropriate uniform and nametags
        • Ensure menu offerings are in line with brand standards this is a priority
        • Be present during high guest interactions times to optimize guest experience and support your team
        • Ensure proper staffing levels for customer service goals are maintained
        • Maintain excellent communication and coordination with all hotel departments
        • Ensure all customers are provided with outstanding service
        • Responsible for ordering supplies, and inventory control and establishing relationship with suppliers ensuring the business receives competitive terms
        • Ensures proper use and care of all property equipment and supplies.
        • Carries out all reasonable requests of management not listed above.
        • Follows all hotel and state/federal safety policies and regulations. Qualifications:
          • A combination of practical experience and education will be considered during the interview process
          • Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel).
          • Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning andpreparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures,personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
