Diesel Mechanic II

FULL-TIME

$31/hr

Starting pay is $26 - $31 based on experience.

--- Perform repairs on class 8 equipment within employee current skill level
--- Inspect equipment during the repair process to determine if additional repairs are necessary
--- Perform all jobs within the expected time unassisted
--- Make satisfactory comments to document work performed on all repair orders
--- Perform preventative maintenance services
--- Perform Department of Transport Truck inspections
--- Perform safety systems checks
--- Perform wheel seal replacements
--- Perform wheel bearing and race assemblies
--- Repair and replace diesel particulate filters and reset ash count
--- Perform break inspections and repairs
--- Perform tire inspections and replacements (including mounts and dismounts)
--- Perform basic batteries and warranty testing
--- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs and use a multi-meter
--- Repair and replace starters and alternators
--- Install and repair satellite systems
--- Diagnose, repair, and replace seats and components
--- Diagnose, repair, and replace radios and components

Schedule

Shift start: 8:00AM
Shift length: 8.5 hours
Monday - Friday, 1st shift
