Job description

The Logan Glass Plant is recruiting for an Industrial Electrician at our Logan Ohio location. The operation is a 24-hour,7 day a week operation engaged in manufacturing tubular glass.



The Industrial Electrician position is an important position within the plant and plays an important role in the successful operation of the plant.



The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $65,000-$72,000



Responsibilities



Install new and revise existing wiring for all types of electrical components (includes electronic, solid state, integrated circuits and other "State of the Art" devices) on Plant equipment and facilities

Perform electrical maintenance, "troubleshooting", and repair on all plant equipment and facilities

Assist and work with engineers in developing electronic equipment and devices

Work from diagrams, schematic drawings and minimal verbal instructions

Analyze and diagnose complicated problems and take appropriate actions

Must be able to work all shifts and swing from shift to shift

Other work as required







Job requirements

Must be 18 years old and earned a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent educational certificate.

Willing to submit and successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment drug and background screening.

Stable work history without unexplained gaps of unemployment.

Ability to read and understand plant standard operating procedures, work rules, labels, safety notices, and instructions.

Track record of excellent attendance in previous positions.

Ability to communicate with or without reasonable accommodation.

Comfortable around fast-moving glass production lines.

Must be willing to work 7 days on and 2 days off, rotating and swing shifts, on a 24/7 basis (in a one-month period may work all three shifts).

Must be willing to work mandatory weekends and holidays.

Must be willing to work mandatory overtime.

Must be willing to meet physical requirements necessary to do the job with or without reasonable accommodation including, but not limited to, the ability to stand/walk on a concrete floor for extended periods of time. (A full description of physical requirements is available for review if selected for an interview.)

Must be willing to work with or without reasonable accommodation in an environment that has exposure to temperature extremes (e.g. 100+ degrees), noise and dust for extended periods of time.

Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment with or without reasonable accommodation (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, arm guards, hearing protection and safety shoes).



DESIRED



2-year degree in electrical engineering, electronics or a related field: or successful completion of a certified electrical apprentice or training program and a minimum 3 years experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting

Experience programming and troubleshooting GE PLCs including series 1, series 6, 90/30, 90/70, RX31, and RX71

Able to install, maintain and repair, at the highest level and under minimum supervisory guidance electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and other state of the art equipment involving elements such as control, positioning, tracing, sensing, programming, etc

Experience with conduit layout and installation

Knowledge of operation and repair of variable frequency drives, servo drives, DC drives

Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E
