Stonehenge Capital Company is currently seeking an Analyst in
Columbus, OH to support its Community Development line of business.
The Community Development group focusses on providing capital to
operating companies in underserved markets and geographies targeted
for economic development nationally. The group primarily provides
senior term credit products to operating companies and invests
capital through the federal and various state New Markets Tax
Support of senior members in evaluating potential investments
including: meeting with companies, conducting due diligence, and
assisting in the formulation of potential investment
Financial Analysis: Modeling historical & projected financials of
prospective investments and performing ongoing financial covenant
compliance for portfolio companies.
Research: Conduct industry research on a select list of prospective
investment sectors or industries; prepare economic impact analyses
for prospective investments and existing portfolio companies, and
complete ad-hoc requests from the senior members of Stonehenge
Portfolio Management: Assistance in writing quarterly portfolio
company updates/valuations and completing necessary regulatory
Desired Experience and Skills
The ability to conduct detailed, structured and comprehensive
analysis and synthesize results in a clear, articulate manner.
A pre-MBA degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting is preferred
along with an expressed interest in economic development finance
and/or impact investing.
Completion of a commercial bank training program will be given top
One to two years of relevant work experience is preferred.
A strong work ethic and self-starter mentality, with the ability to
handle projects from start to finish.
Strong interpersonal skills. The highest degree of ethics and
integrity and a "team-player" mentality.
The ability to structure and present complex ideas and information
in simple, persuasive written and oral forms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is
Collaboration skills: Works effectively in cross functional team
Communication skills: Clearly articulates problems to senior
personnel and is able to work with the senior team members to
provide adequate solutions.
