Job Description:
TITLE: Senior Benefits Compliance AnalystLOCATION: Columbus, OH
(Corporate HQ)DEPARTMENT: HR
PURPOSE OF POSITION:The Senior Benefits Compliance Analyst is
responsible for all benefits compliance activities to ensure
FlightSafety is in compliance with regulatory guidelines. This
position is also responsible for benefits vendor management,
drafting communications for the benefits function and is a
functional liaison with Information Technology (IT) group on
benefits processes and systems.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential to
the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other
duties may be assigned.
Compliance: --- Updating Plan Documents --- Affordable Care Act
(ACA) - Employee reporting and Internal Revenue Services (IRS)
filing --- Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act
(HIPAA) --- Benefits 5500s --- Qualified Separate Line of Business
(QSLOB) --- Medicare Compliance (Part D reporting, respond to
Center for Medicare Services (CMS) requests) --- Monitor and assist
with implementation of new compliance requirements ---
Claim/Dependent Audits Vendor Management: --- Manages escalated
issues with vendors. --- Reviews utilization and assists with cost
/ benefit analysis of vendors. --- Acts as project manager for
vendor changes and plan changes.
Process Improvement: --- Review current benefit processes and
recommend/assist with implementation of efficiencies --- Document
benefit processes
Communications: --- Drafts, coordinates approval and sends all
communications on behalf of the benefits function. Systems
Knowledge: --- Act as functional liaison with IT on benefits
related interfaces and systems --- Asses how to functionally
implement new or changing business requirements through benefits
processes and ERP system modifications. --- Develop functional
specifications to document system modifications to interfaces,
enhancements, reports and business processes. --- Develop test
plans and execute tests to support system patches and updates
MINIMUM EDUCATION: --- Four (4) year degree in Business/HR or
related discipline or five (5) years' related experience; plus:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: --- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience
in benefits administration, required --- Working knowledge of
regulatory issues impacting benefit plans, required --- Benefits /
ERP systems project experience, required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: --- Fluency in English, through both
verbal and written communication; able to speak, understand, read
and write --- Excellent verbal and written communication skills ---
Excellent organizational skills --- Attention to detail --- Ability
to interact with various levels of management in a professional
manner --- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure
situations --- Able to work unsupervised, as needed --- Advanced
knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook --- General knowledge
of SAP --- Other software programs may be required, as needed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties
of this job, the teammate is regularly required to sit, use their
hands and fingers, to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms;
and talk or hear. The teammate must occasionally lift and/or move
up to 20 pounds. The teammate must have close and distance vision
and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate.
