PRIMARY PURPOSE : To support the market intelligence framework by
assessing and distilling marketplace information from primary and
secondary sources into relevant, actionable insights for a selected
internal audience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the market intelligence framework with monitoring,
reviewing, profiling and distilling key clients, competitors,
industry and macroeconomic marketplace developments. Provides ad
hoc market research requests. Assists with enhancing the Market
Intelligence portal site, marketing analytics and miscellaneous
marketing related projects. Prepares reports of findings,
illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into
written text. Analyzes market segments; identifies, explores and
tracks emerging trends. Works with data from economic and industry
information sources, synthesizing and analyzing data to create
reports; provides assistance to executive, sales, marketing and
client service directors. Identifies and evaluates information
resources including industry content sources, online data bases,
and secondary search services to ensure use of the best available
sources. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Performs other
duties as assigned. Supports the organization's quality program(s).
Travels as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market/Competitive Intelligence, or
Market Research from an accredited college or university strongly
preferred. Experience Six (6) years competitive intelligence or
market research experience or equivalent combination of education
and experience required. SharePoint and Access experience
preferred. Experience with a CRM platform, SAS EG, EM and/or JMP
preferred. Skills & Knowledge Strong understanding of internet
research techniques Demonstrated strategic planning and analytical
skills Excellent oral and written communication skills PC literate,
including Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint and
Access Strong organizational skills Self-starter capable of
developing projects based on market insights Ability to work in a
team environment Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
