Description:Must have 2+ years direct Workday lead payroll
processing experience. Prepares, documents and disburses payroll
checks and responsible for payroll and tax auditing. Monitors and
ensures proper documentation of employee benefit payments. Prepares
reports for internal and external audits including such items as
tax payments, benefits plan disbursements etc. Troubleshoots
payroll issues. Evaluates and recommends operating efficiency
improvements. Strong knowledge of tax regulations and union
contract deductions.Key Responsibilities Coordinates payroll
activities and functions to ensure smooth payroll operations.Direct
Workday Payroll processing from loading hours to complete.Provide
support, analyze and resolve escalated payroll issues.Provide
reports as requested for payroll, tax authorities, government
agencies, union audits, Tax and Finance departments, and various
internal and external audits.First line of support for payroll
processors.Analyze payroll & tax data for accuracy, compliance, tax
errors, inefficiencies and ensuring all payments are made
timely.Reconcile end of year tax documents and update as
necessary.Audit all timekeeping for compliance and policy
infractions.Provide training to payroll team and field.Review and
resolve all escalated union dues, garnishments and payroll question
issues and provide answers and resolutions.Load EIBs into Workday
for processing.Support Workday reporting requests.Submit on/off
cycle load files and various corrections (job, pay, tax
data).Performs other duties as assigned. Education and
ExperienceTypically possesses Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and
2-4 years of experience.Knowledge and Skills Excellent verbal and
written communication skills.Strong knowledge in laws, regulations,
and best practices applicable to payroll.Excellent organizational
skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office
Suite or related software.Ability to work effectively independently
and in a team environment.Experience with payroll software and
