Architect Principal
Location: 1 Riverside Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215

Job Duties:

Deliver technology solutions relating to application architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, and non-functional requirements around supportability, resiliency, and security. Translate business requirements and trends in architecture patterns and technology ecosystems into technical solutions. Architect web applications using MVC design frameworks and full stack architecture. Design and develop REST and SOAP based integrations. Design and architect CI/CD solutions. Remote (where AEP has presence) Work from Home policy may apply.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 6 years of experience, which must include: Defining and translating business requirements into technical specifications for application architecture; Web applications using MVC design frameworks and full stack architecture; Java, JavaScript, HTML, and Polymer; Database implementations for Oracle, SQL Server and DB2; Designing and developing REST and SOAP based integrations; Middleware implementations using WebLogic and Tomcat; Architecting solutions on premise and AWS cloud environment; Containerized architecture/technologies including SpringBoot and Docker; Designing/architecting CI/CD solutions using tools including JUnit, Git, Jenkins, Maven and test automation technologies; Application architecture for utility based Customer Information Systems; and Building applications to support Texas ERCOT Market Business Rules, Regulatory Requirements, Operations and Transaction sets.
