Facebook.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder general
supervision, maintains extensive agency-wide inventory (e.g.,
computer equipment; other IT equipment; furniture; equipment;
in-house forms) for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services
(ODJFS) and enforces policies and procedures on inventory control:
maintains statewide inventory of all agency computer hardware and
peripherals and other agency equipment; maintains statewide
inventory on agency furniture (e.g., furniture utilized for
Americans with Disabilities Act [ADA] accommodations and ergonomic
accommodations); implements and enforces procedures on inventory
control; delivers and receives ODJFS forms, pamphlets, envelopes,
and brochures; uses proprietary inventory software (i.e.,
Information Forms Management System [IFMS]) to manage the
agency-wide forms warehouse inventory system; receives, verifies,
and reconciles inventory receipts with form orders; receives and
enters items into stock in the warehouse by loading and unloading
shipping and receiving vehicles (e.g., utilizes hand powered pallet
jack or forklift to move equipment in warehouse); receives and
distributes stock and supplies into a large warehouse (e.g.,
reviews purchase orders and/or packing slips to ensure correctness
of items and to ensure accurate quantities delivered; inspects
stock for damage); verifies accuracy of shipment (e.g., delivery
location); assigns asset numbers and tags to all incoming computer
hardware and peripherals; completes inventory through IFMS and
tracks details in ServiceNow; as needed, prepares equipment for
delivery throughout the State (e.g., to central office, county,
and/or district offices and other state warehouses); utilizes IFMS
to remove obsolete or worn out equipment from inventory; records
inventory of stocked items and maintains daily inventory in IFMS;
maintains shipping records; ships computer equipment, packages, and
other material via State Term contracted vendor; performs annual
physical inventory; monitors receipt and disposition of surplus
equipment and resolves problems as requested by supervisor;
coordinates and manages workflow for online forms order tracking
system; completes and maintains daily warehouse shipping and
receiving records in computerized spreadsheet and proprietary
software (e.g., Microsoft Excel; IFMS; ServiceNow); verifies
accuracy of automated inventory system by performing random
physical inventories (e.g., lifting 25 to 30 pounds); prepares
annual inventory report for requisitions for supplies and equipment
preventative maintenance and repairs; operates electric pallet
jack, electric order picker, and electric fork truck in order to
ship, deliver, and receive ODJFS forms, pamphlets, envelopes, and
brochures; processes form orders from receipt to distribution
utilizing various shipping methods (e.g., United States Postal
Service; State Term Contractor) and maintains IFMS order status;
serves as back-up to other Inventory Control Specialists in the
unit.Performs other related duties as assigned (e.g., participates
in meetings; travels to attend staff meetings and trainings;
delivers equipment utilizing a State-owned vehicle; operates
personal computer to produce correspondence, reports, and other
documents; maintains logs, records, and files).The following are

requirements by having at least (1) of the following (3)
options:Option 1(18) months training OR (18) months experience in
inventory control AND (3) courses OR (9) months experience in
electronic data processing related to inventory control AND (1)
course OR (3) months experience in public relations.Option 2(9)
months experience as Inventory Control Specialist, 64551.Option
3Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted
above.
