Nesco Resource is seeking an ITAD Technician for a contract opportunity in the Greater Columbus OH area. This is an opportunity to work with a premier IT Integrator and lends the chance for exposure to what can become a future ongoing opportunity. Our team is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient individual to join our team as an IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and Phone Tester. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the disposal and recycling process of IT assets, as well as testing and assessing the functionality of smartphones and other mobile devices.Key Responsibilities:1. IT Asset Disposition (ITAD)- Perform physical and visual inspections of assets.- Identify and document any damages, missing components, or aesthetic issues with the assets.- Securely wipe data from IT assets to ensure the protection of sensitive information.- Work with team to determine the appropriate disposal or recycling method for each asset.- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practices for IT asset disposal.- Track and report on the status of disposed assets, including quantity, method of disposal, and associated costs.2. Phone Testing- Conduct functional testing of smartphones and other mobile devices to identify and diagnose any hardware or software issues.- Perform quality control checks on refurbished or repaired phones to ensure they meet the required specifications.- Use diagnostic tools and software to test the performance, battery life, connectivity. Other necessary skills: Ability to follow Testing script & Grade Assets. Experience with MS ExcelAble to assist with staging, triaging, and possible packing of assets after test is completed.
