Job Description Job Title: Physician - Region 5 Emergency/General/Internal Medicine (Part time) Location: Circleville, OH 43113 Duration: 6 Months to long term Key Responsibilities: Provide routine and emergency medical care to patients or inmates in state facilities by examining, diagnosing, treating medical conditions, and monitoring patient progress. Prescribe, administer, and manage medications and treatments for acute and chronic illnesses, including performing minor surgical procedures when required. Conduct physical examinations to assess medical conditions for treatment, claims evaluation, or employment suitability. Administer vaccinations and inoculations and support the prevention and control of communicable diseases. Interpret laboratory and diagnostic findings and incorporate results into patient care and treatment plans. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and determine the need for specialized or referral care. Provide clinical guidance to nursing, technical, and paraprofessional staff to support quality patient care. Prepare and maintain accurate medical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, orders, and admission, discharge, and death summaries. Job Requirements Must be licensed to practice medicine by the State Medical Board OR (foreign medical graduates must hold a limited license and be eligible for the next board exam).
