What You Can Expect
As our Project Assistant - Civil Engineering and Geographical
Information Science (GIS) Support Intern, in Columbus, OH. You will
be responsible for supporting ENGIE's Capital Projects team,
concentrated on lifecycle and expansion projects for The Ohio State
University's Utility System. Every day you will assist the capital
projects team as assigned. Areas of possible work assignments
include job site visits during active construction, monitoring
progress, developing reports and organizing data. Additional
assignments could include collecting and compiling spatial data
into a relational database, assisting in the development of an
imagery database, and building custom maps to assist project team
and project development. You will report to the GIS Analyst. The
internship work term will be approximately June 3, 2024-August 30,
2024.
What You'll Bring
You are pursuing a major in civil engineering or geographical
information science
You have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
You are a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
You have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and
verbally
You can handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high
degree of accuracy
You are proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and GIS Software
You have strong organizational, prioritization, interpersonal and
time management skills

Compensation
Salary Range: $21.00 to $23.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified
candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry
knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide
factors.
