Job Opportunity – Neuro Critical Care Unit Travel Nurse – Ohio Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week, day/night rotation with every other weekend Highlights: Specialized 18-bed Neuro Critical Care Unit serving complex neurological and neurosurgical patients Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity, ensuring quality care delivery Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Exposure to advanced neuromonitoring including ICP monitoring, EVD management, and bedside procedures 36-hour orientation to ensure successful onboarding and unit integration Note: No time off requests accepted between February 15-28, 2026 Requirements: Current RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required Active certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only) Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring Epic EMR experience required Previous travel experience strongly preferred; Trauma Level I experience preferred Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership role) Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed On-call availability required Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a diverse and challenging patient population including stroke patients, post-neurosurgery cases, traumatic brain injuries, and complex neuromuscular disorders.
